+ Japanese Teacher +

I started working as a Japanese teacher even though it is a part-time job and I am aprivate tutor. This job is very interesting. I found that I could use all of my knowledge, skills and experience efficiently for this job. Did finally I find the job that I can enjoy for my whole life? Wait, wait, wait... I've just started as a Japanese teacher. I didn't have to answer this question right now. I would find the answer naturally by the end of my working Holiday.

Anyways, I feel that this job is very good for me. I will try to do my best.

+ Another Obstacle +

I have taken an ASL course prepared by a Sign Language organisation every Wednesday. The first day, I was worried whether I could have a good start or not because I have had some bad experiences when I tried to learn ASL before, the cancellation, broken bicycle and what would happen this day. My cell phone rang when I was worrying about the class. I didn't want to talk but I had to. The staff said to me that the class was cancelled because the teacher was sick. Another obstacle came at me again. But I had gotten used to accepting such situation already. She said that the cancellation was only that day and the class would start the following Wednesday. But my motivation had decrease already.

+ Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe... +

    Eeny, meeny, miny, moe,
Catch a tiger by the toe,
If he hollers let him go,
    Eeny, meeny, miny, moe!

My Canadian friend told me about "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe." It is cute! Japan also has a similar phrase "Do re ni shi yo o ka na, te nn no ka mi sa ma no yu u to o ri " (Direct translation is that I wonder which I'd like to... I will decide with advice from god). I like cultures which are not in text books. Such things come to my heart directly not my brain. I will try to say "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" when I read the menu at a restaurant!

+ Bonjour! +

There are a lot of French in Ottawa. When I was in Japan, I knew that Canada is a bilingual country. But I had thought that it was 90% English and 10% French except for Québec though I had no evidence to base this on because I didn't know about Canada well. I was surprised that it is not rare hearing French in the city. It might be because Ottawa is the capital. Now I have many French Canadian friends. They speak English when we talk but if I were not there, they would talk to each other in French. Wow, it is interesting! I want to talk with them in French which is their mother tongue. I often heard the phrase "I will learn French after mastering English" from my friends whose first language isn't English or French. I can understand that idea but I thought that the time would never come to me. I have my own way! I decided to learn French even though my English is bad. Bonjour!
