What do you eat in McDonald's? Hamburgers? Chickens? or only French fries?

As for me, it is Spaghetti!

In the Philippines, you can eat Spaghetti in McDonald's. I thought that it was a little bit sweet and thick, however, I liked it.

Well, actually, these three weren't so difference taste. Maybe, Jollibee’s is thicker than others. I think that such a little bit sweet and thick taste is the Filipino standard.

SPAGETTI!

+ Fast Food in the Philippines 2+

Hello again.

Well, well, well. my fast food story doesn't finish yet. I have to talk about one more thing. It is rice. Yes, rice! Rice is really popular food in the Philippines even if you were in fast food shop. When I buy a piece of chicken, I am always asked "with rice?" before the question "How about drinks?" by the staff. First, I wondered why the staff asked me about rice. I came to fast food shop to eat hamburgers, chicken, or French fries. However, when I look around in the fast food shop, I found that every Filipinos eat rice. Oh là là! It is very natural for Filipinos to eat rice in fast food shop.

The other day, one of my students told me that it origins Jollibee. Jollibee started selling chickens with rice first. The menu was very welcomed by Filipinos. After that, other fast food shops added rice into their menu. To eat rice in Jollibee is the Filipino style!

Me? of course I order the rice in Jollibee!

I told you that "When in the Philippines, do as the Filipino do!"

I can't talk about fast food in the Philippines without Rice!

+ Oishi Philippines +

Ta-da!

This style crackers are really popular in Japan. According to Filipinos, this Oishi brand is well known as a popular snack maker in Philippines. Of course the brand name "Oishi" name after Japanese word "OISHII (it means good taste)." I thought the crispy taste is same as Japanese, however, "Oishi" version has a little bit sweet powder and it munches to the crispy taste. Yeah, it was Oishi.

I heard that this snack maker has "Kirei (it means good beautiful)" brand also, even though I have never found it yet.

I'm wondering what kind of taste the "Kirei" is.

+ TAGAYTAY +

I went to TAGAYTAY with Japanese teachers. TAGAYTAY is one of the famous sight seeing spots near Makati, it took about two hours by car, and it is well known as double caldera.

I tried to stitch three photos for panorama view.

This is the TAAL Lake and the centre mountain is the TAAL volcano that the crater has also a lake. It was very beautiful. It was the first time for me to see the real caldera lake. I felt the power of nature.
