+ Canada Day +

Today, I am wearing a red shirt. Around here, only I have a little bit cheering feeling. Anyways, Happy Canada Day!

+ The Voting from the Philippines +

Today, I went to the embassy of Japan for voting to the election of the House of Councillors. It was the first time for me to vote from foreign country. Well, I have a vexing experience regarding to the vote from foreign country. It was the election of House of Representatives in 2005. You know, I was in Canada at that time. I already submit the application of the residence in the foreign country and the certificate of the vote right from the foreign country. However, it was still in progress of my application when the election was opened. I couldn't vote because of such a bureaucratic application system. According to my two cases, in Canada and in the Philippines, it has taken around six months, in other words, a half year that the certification would be delivered since I came to the countries. Japanese government can accept the application of the residence in the foreign country, three months after I have lived in the country. After accepting the application, they can process the next application for issuing the certificate and it takes around two r three months, well, it depends on the local government agency's ability. Actually the last time, I felt that I was ignored by Japan. Fortunately, I could vote this time, however, still I can't understand why it requires so looooooooooooooooong time. Hey, the next Councillors, can you change it?

BTW,
I had a very big and good impression in the embassy. It was the service from the Japanese staff. They explained and guided me very polite and kindly. It was really good. I came to have a better opinion of such a Japanese style.

+ HP stands for... +

Yes! I did it! I did it!

I read up "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" English edition. You know tomorrow is the day which "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be released. I wanted to read up the Half-Blood Prince before the new book would be in store. Well, I wrote the resolution "I won't give up reading English books until the end" on the New Year's Day of 2006. Actually, at that time, the book beside me was "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." More than one year and half... Finally, I accomplished one of my resolutions. It was so looooooooooooog way, wasn't it? However, it was my way. Ahaha. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was the first book for me to make me wanting to read in English. I remember that when I read, I set the English book left and the Japanese book right. If I used English-Japanese dictionary, I would be complicated whether I read the book or the dictionary. The book became my first English book to read up. Of course, I planned to read following books in English, however, you know, the series became thicker and thicker. I couldn't read up the following books even if I read Japanese edition first.

I didn't pre-order the new book because I thought that I couldn't read it up by today. Of course, I will go to a book store tomorrow even though I don't know when I turn the last page.

Hey, J.K.Rowling, why don't you write short-short?
