September 2009

+ Russia Again +

On the midnight of September 7th, actually it was 8th, I came back to Irkutsk. The flights were very stably and I didn't have to worry about the transit thanks to staff of the Japanese Consulate General in Khabarovsk.

The wind was already a little bit cold and the view which was quite different from Japan made me bubbling.

The second year in Russia was started!

+ Bye-Bye peep-gah-gah! +

A thing which had made me bothering last year was 20 meters of a telephone line. I had only a way to connect to the Internet from my room, yes of course, it was the Dial-UP! I expanded the telephone line from the entrance to my room and I always to listen to the dial-up sound. It reminded me of my 90's.

However, finally, the 3G wave came to Irkutsk! Of course I got this soon after I arrived. Ta-da!

MTS USB Modem

(MTS USB Modem: The strap is a part of a mammoth's tusk. My friend who is Japanese language teacher in Yakutsk gave me. It prevents from loosing the cap.)

I was released from the dial-up and would not listen to the sound "peep-gah-gah!" anymore. Hey, the Dial-up, I know you had made good jobs. Thanks and now you can take a rest.

Yeah, Movie site! Download! Click, Click!

+ The Earliest Snow +

It snowed on September 18th in Irkutsk. It was the earliest snow in my life. Can you imagine the snow in September? It was awesome. The snow reminded me of I was in Siberia Russia. You know, I love snow and cold weather, I felt that such earliest snow was the welcome back snow by Irkutsk for me.

The Earliest Snow

Hello, nice to meet you again!

+ The Japanese Cemetery +

I went to The Japanese Cemetery with my friends and my students who would go to study abroad in Kanazawa city. It located on a small hill beside the Baikal Lake. I heard that there were no bones under the tombstone; however, I thought that such a monument was very important by means of telling the history to young generations. What was happened, and how the current condition between Japan and Russia.

We folded our hand in front of the tombstone and cleaned the cemetery area. A local TV station's clues came and covered us. I hope that such our actions help to make the condition between Japan and Russia good.
