How to Communicate with Deaf People
When you meet Deaf people, can you communicate with them?
What? No? Why not? Because you don't know Sign Language? Guess what? You can still communicate, even if you don't know Sign Language. There are lots of ways! Using gestures and facial expressions, writing something on a piece of paper or in the air are a good start. You can enjoy talking to Deaf people using TTY or a telephone relay service. During the communication, the Deaf people will tell you which way is better. The important thing is not to stop trying to communicate with them. The heart is the most important.
